Bayou Park Ratepayers Association By-Laws

Updated: Aug 4, 2021

The Bayou Park Ratepayers Association is a not-for-profit organization incorporated under the province of Ontario, since 1973.

Ontario is updating the rules for not-for-profit corporations under the 2010 Not-for-Profit Corporations Act (ONCA). The provincial government has made available a default organizational by-law which can be used by existing not-for-profit corporations to help them review and make any changes to their by-laws as needed to comply with ONCA. The default by-law deals with organizational matters, such as who can sit on the board, the duties of officers and members and how to call meetings. The corporation may change or repeal and replace the default by-law at any time by following the procedures in ONCA.

As such, the Bayou Park Ratepayers Association has utilized the Ontario default organizational by-law to draft By-Laws for our non-profit corporation, as attached below, that we will be asking members to approve by vote (in person or by proxy) during our 2021 Annual General Meeting on Saturday, August 14th 7:30 PM.
