3rd ANNUAL PUMPKIN WALK

WHERE: Bayou Park Beach

WHEN: Sunday, October 30th, 2022

6:00 - 7:30 pm

WHAT: Please drop off your carved jack o' lantern near the flag pole at Bayou Park Beach prior to 5:30 pm on Sunday, October 30th.

Return with your family to the Bayou Park Beach between 6:00 - 7:30 pm to parade by a Halloween spectacle of glowing neighbourhood pumpkins. Last year we had over 30 jack o' lanterns on display! Kids are welcome to wear their costumes.

Don't forget to come back between 7:30 - 8:00 pm to pick up your jack o' lantern to display at your own house for Halloween the next day!

Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and pre-made goodie bags for all ages will be available if you wish to take a treat home (courtesy of the BPRA). We will also be collecting canned food donations for the Orillia Sharing Place Food Centre in order to help fight food insecurity in our community.

Don’t feel like walking? Drive by the park and take in the sight!

PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST ALERT!

Feeling artistic? All jack o' lanterns on display at the Pumpkin Walk will be judged for 1 of 3 prizes for Most Creative Carving! Prizes to be announced, judges are members of the BPRA Executive.

DETAILS: Your jack o’ lantern is automatically entered when you bring it down to the Beach Park for the Pumpkin Walk on October 30th. Winners will be announced by 7:30 pm and prizes awarded when members come back to pick up their jack o' lanterns before 8:00 pm. The three winners will also be featured in our next BPRA Newsletter.

NEED A PUMPKIN TO CARVE?

The BPRA has 15 pumpkins to give to BPRA members in good standing to carve at home, then show off at our Pumpkin Walk on Sunday, October 30th. We will deliver a pumpkin directly to your house on the weekend of October 22nd & 23rd. To request one before we run out, please email info@bayoupark.org by Tuesday, October 18th at 5:00 pm with your name and address.
