Please join us for our Meet The Neighbours event next Saturday, July 10th from 10AM - 12PM at the Beach (pre-registration required). All members are welcome, but in particular we would like to invite new residents and their families to come out and meet the exec and their neighbours! We will have a fun activity to help us get to one another and our community. Bring the kiddos too: we will have fresh sand toys waiting for their enjoyment! Register by Thursday, July 8th emailing info@bayoupark.org to let us know how many people from your family will attend. Under provincial rules, we are restricted to outdoor gatherings of no more than 25 people. A Covid-19 self-assessment will be required before attending, and masks are recommended. We will consider breaking up the event into two time slots if we have a large number of members wanting to attend!
Our Community Garage Sale will take place on the morning of Saturday, July 17th (start time 8AM, pre-registration required). Members sell their unwanted items from your own driveway, and we do the advertising! There is a $5 fee payable to the BPRA, which supports the cost of advertising online, in local and Orillia publications, on social media, and on signage throughout the Westshore Area. We will also be creating a map to all the participating households to share on social media and online! If you would like to participate, please email president@bayoupark.org by Wednesday, July 14th and exec member Natasha Illic will be in touch to advise how you can pay the $5 fee. Please note, per provincial rules, each garage sale will be subject to the outdoor gathering restriction of no more than 25 people, and must take place outdoors.
Save the date for our AGM and Outdoor Family Movie Night on the evening of Saturday, August 14th. This was the top event requested by those who responded to our 2020 Member Survey! Stay tuned for more info.
Finally, we are hopeful to bring back the legendary Family Fun Day & BBQ on Saturday, August 28th! We are proceeding with planning this annual tradition, and will announce if it is a 'go' when Ontario moves to Step 3 in its Re-Opening Ontario plan later this month. The event is contingent on outdoor gathering limits being significantly lifted, and the willingness of our members to volunteer a short shift during the day.
