The signage at our waterfront park had been up for a decade, if not more, and had taken a beating with our winters.
VP Neil Fenton and Director at Large Bruce Topping led Phase 1 of our sign refresh project with President Claire Lysnes and other volunteers at the park.
Thank you to everyone who swung a hammer and donated materials to the project.
Phase 1: We moved the sign to beside the flag pole, and away from the ditch and stinky municipal pipes. We also lowered the sign so it is now eye level and easier to read!
Stay tuned for Phase 2 coming soon:
Painting the sign, replacing the cork-board backer, and updating the board with some improved and more durable Cricut letters courtesy of our Secretary, Kait Hunter, to make it easier for you to read our notices.
Phase 3 will be a special project, utilizing the rear of the sign, to help us celebrate the 50th anniversary of the BPRA with you, our members! Stay tuned for more information to come!
Thanks to the care taken by the original builders of the sign, it will only take some TLC to make it look like new again!
Thank you! We would love to accept the cork donation! Please email us at info@bayoupark.org so we can arrange to get it :)
Looks amazing great job to all!!!! If you need cork backing I have a roll I can donate?
